Bolton Wanderers partner with top american youth soccer tournament

BOLTON WANDERERS’ International Football Programme is delighted to confirm a partnership with Sport-11 which will see professional Academy Coaches and Scouts from the Sky Bet League One side visit the prestigious APC Premier Cup Boys Weekend in the United States on March 10-12, 2017, and hold an Open Trial for ages U11-U16 players.

Head coach of Bolton Wanderers FC International Football Programme and Academy Coach Danny Clarke said: ‘We are very happy to collaborate with Sport-11 at such an impressive event. We have heard about the level of talent at this prestigious tournament and decided to join forces with Sport-11 and visit the APC Premier Cup to see the level of talent first hand.

“We are hoping the visit can lead to inviting players back to England to visit BWFC, Macron Stadium and Bolton Whites Hotel through EPL Sports tours and some players getting a special invite to our (EPCE) Elite Pro Club Experience taking place in October.”

Sport-11 Founder Scott Becker, who also is the founder of the APC Premier Cup, added: “This is an extraordinary opportunity that wouldn’t have happened had we not brought our events in house. One of the key factors in starting the APC Premier Cup was to provide opportunities to kids that want to progress to the next level. Being able to call upon Bolton Wanderers FC’s valuable insight to the scouting and recruiting of elite athletes is very important to these kids coming through the system.”

BWFC Chairman Ken Anderson said: “This is another exciting opportunity for our International Football Programme, which is continuing to grow and raising our profile all over the world. I’m really pleased by its success and I'm looking forward to meeting some of the young footballers when they visit Bolton.”

The Bolton Wanderers International Football Programme delivers a pro-club experience at home and abroad. Utilising the expertise of fully qualified football coaches and world class training facilities at Macron Stadium and Bolton Whites Hotel, the programme has already welcomed visitors from all over the world including Australia, China, the United States, Canada, Nigeria, Sweden, Germany, Italy and the Republic of Ireland as well as providing training camps in those countries.
