  • Deputy General Manager

    The Role

    Seeking a highly professional hotelier with a proven track record in managing a large team at a Senior Level;to assume the role of Deputy General Manager within a Hotel /Stadium.

    Main duties include:

    •A member of the Senior Management Team within the business accountable for direct reports and results
    •The effective daily management of the Venue, to meet and exceed customer and team expectation
    •To participate in senior meetings, networks and deputise in GM absence including operational support
    •To support the General Manager in the collation and delivery of the overall Venue Business Plan
    •Support HODs in managing their budgets, implement financial plans as well as controlling expenditure.
    •Manage the relationship between the on site caterers and hotel / venue team.
    •Set and achieve sales and profit targets
    •Recruit, train and monitor staff
    •Carry out inspections of property and services (audit)
    •Accountable for direct reports across all areas of the business conducting performance reviews with each Head of Department
    •Key driver in promoting and implementing a service that sells culture throughout the business
    •Ensure security is effective
    •Ensure full compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
    •Ensure an effective Event Management Plan is in place and executed for all major / large events
    •Represent the venue at key networking events

    Requirements of the Role:

    At least five years as a Head of Department within the hospitality industry.

    Previous Ops Manager or DGM role preferable.

    This is a permanent position which will be working 5 days out of 7, however, additional weekend and evening work is required subject to demand.
